Austin T. Wang

I'm a researcher at EvolutionaryScale, now part of Biohub, building foundation models for biological sequences. More broadly, I'm interested in utilizing machine learning and AI for scientific discovery.

I recently defended my computer science PhD at Stanford University, advised by Anshul Kundaje and supported by a Stanford Bio-X fellowship. My research focused on understanding regulatory genomics using deep learning models for DNA.

Previously, I received my B.S. and M.Eng. from MIT in computer science and molecular biology. There, I worked with Alexander Gusev and Manolis Kellis on statistical methods for population genetics.
